Legion Baseball

Our Junior and Senior American Legion Baseball program is tailored for high school-aged players, offering a competitive yet nurturing environment that bridges the gap between youth baseball and collegiate level play.

The American Legion Baseball program is renowned for its emphasis on sportsmanship, team play, and personal development, both on and off the field. We pride ourselves on fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership among our players, preparing them for success beyond the diamond.

Our program consists of two primary divisions: Junior Legion Baseball, aimed at players typically 13-16 years of age, and Senior Legion Baseball, for players aged 17-19. These age brackets ensure that athletes compete against peers of similar skill and maturity levels, providing a balanced and fair competitive landscape.

Games and tournaments are held throughout the summer, with the season typically starting once the High School baseball season is over and runs through July, culminating in district and state competitions for qualifying teams. Practices are scheduled regularly, focusing on both individual skill improvement and team dynamics.

Our home games are played on Altoona fields that meet American Legion Baseball standards, providing a professional atmosphere for our players. Away games offer the opportunity to travel and compete against other Legion teams in the region, fostering a strong sense of team unity and sportsmanship.
