Do you have a passion for the game of baseball or softball and want to make some extra money this spring and summer?  Altoona Youth Softball & Baseball is always looking for umpires!   Our goal is to supply the league with well-trained, mature, and committed umpires.  Umpiring can be challenging but it can also be a fun and rewarding experience!

If you, your kids, or someone else you know is interested in umpiring for AYS&B or even just to learn more about it without committing, please have them submit their contact information below.  Submitting this information will help make sure we keep everyone that is interested informed about different events.  We will have informational meetings and umpire clinics to help make sure everyone is comfortable and well-prepared to ump.  These are tentatively planned for early April each season.  No experience is necessary and efforts are made to pair new umpires with experienced umpires so they can be mentored! 

This is a great opportunity for young athletes to make extra money and umpire games that suit their schedule.  Youth umpires develop leadership skills, confidence and responsibility, while also enjoying a different perspective of the game.

To help ensure umpires and game scores are reported correctly, umpires will be submitting an Umpire Game Card after each game.  Fill out the card completely and submit.  Your name must be on an Umpire Game Card to get paid for the game.
