The baseball program is designed for ages 5+ - 8th grade. Depending on weather, the season starts in late April and continues through the end of June.
The softball program is designed for grades 1-8 (Rookies co-ed baseball is available for K!). Depending on weather, the season starts in late April and continues through the end of June.
The rules for our Rookies, Coach Pitch, Minors, and Majors divisions are put together and maintained by AYS&B. For all other levels, AYS&B follows the rules of the Chippewa Valley Baseball League (CVBL) and the Chippewa Valley Girls Fastpitch League (CVGFL).
If your bat does not feature the USA Baseball stamp it will not be allowed for use in league play. Big barrel bats, up to a 2-5/8" barrel that feature the new stamp will also be allowed.
Special note for Preps/Ponies: The biggest length to weight ratio allowed is -8 and the maximum barrel diameter in 2 5/8”. For Pony League, both BBCOR and USA Certified bats will be allowed as long as they fit the above listed criteria. No USSSA bats
Effective January 1, 2018, with the exception of the -3 bat (BBCOR certified), all other 2-1/4” and 2-5/8” minus factor bats (-5, -7, -8, etc.) must be certified with the USABat licensing stamp on the bat in order to be used for league and tournament play. 2-1/4” and 2-5/8” minus factor bats (-5, -7, -9, etc.) used in 2017 will be illegal to use.
